Meet Gregory Siedschlag
Founder and Career Coach, Mission Pivot
After two decades of navigating my own career pivots and leading high-stakes hiring decisions, I know what it takes to stand out in today’s job market.
In 2008, I made the most significant career decision of my life: transitioning from corporate communications in Nashville to the environmental sector — a field I was passionate about but lacked formal experience in. I leveraged my transferable skills in communications to land consulting work with a local nonprofit, then enrolled in the Master of Public Policy program at Georgetown University.
Soon after, I joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where I held a variety of leadership positions throughout the agency. I later took on a senior communications role where I helped support the rollout of an $8.8 billion Inflation Reduction Act program at the U.S. Department of Energy.
Making that leap in 2008 changed everything for me. Now, I help others make their own bold moves with clarity and confidence.
